Three Months Old

I can't believe that Rodney Jones is 3 months old! What is it they say, "Time flies when you are having fun"? I think that's it. Rodney's favorite things to do are to watch Konrad play and be silly. He smiles at Rad all the time. He loves laughing, especially when being tickled by daddy. He is such a little chatter box. I was kind of hoping that he would be a little bit more reserved than Konrad, but he is so noisy. He talks all the time. If you coo at him it really gets him going. He is such a good sleeper. He sleeps from 10- 6 or 7 every night, except if it gets too cold, as I am finding out happens here more often than not. He is such a sweet baby. His smile just melts my heart.

We Wish You a Fugly Christmas!!

Tonight we had our Ward Christmas Party. We are "new" in town so I thought it would be a good idea to see if there was anybody really cool in our ward. There are actually lots of pretty awesome people, but I am talking about REALLY cool people. Like the people with unspoken coolness. Firstly, I wanted to see if anyone else would don their gayest apparel for the Holiday season. We spent a ridiculous amount of time/money at the Goodwill searching for the perfect sweaters. Rad's was definitely the coolest because whoever owned this sweet gem added a stocking to the "Beary Christmas" sweat shirt, complete with mock turtle neck. Speaking of mock turtle necks, check out Brian. His outfit was just incredible. Not only was it a mock turtleneck, it had reindeer on front and a little reindeer friend on back. And I found it in the Plus Size section at the Goodwill. All I have to say is WIN. The sad thing? Nobody else was wearing any sweetness. Except for our neighbors. I alread knew that they are cool.

The other fun this week is this: I got a TREADMILL!!! I no longer have to be tough. I can run inside whilst it is snowing and icing outside. It was good timing b/c it only got to 15 degrees today. Not okay for running. Santa is good, Santa is good.

And then there is our little Santa. I could not resist dressing the poor child up as Santa. He's gonna have issues regardless, so why not dress him up, you know? I know, then I will post it on my blog for all the world to see, because, you know, the world is my audience. I am kind of awesome. And special. And wonderful.

Santa, Who?

Firstly, why is Santa a male? YOu and I both know that Mrs. Claus is the one getting all the stuff done and Santa is just gets to deliver it and hog all the glory. Second, why is Mrs. Claus' first name Mrs? I am from here on out referring to Santa as Mr. Claus. Jeez, even Christmas is sexist!

Thirdly, I (ahem) Santa, has been VERY busy during naptime. Yesterday I made Rad a backpack out of the sweetest TRACTOR fabric I have ever seen. On that note, before I had boys I never could understand why anyone in their right mind would buy that ugly green and yellow John Deer fabric that you see at stores. I secretly said to myself, " Self, be so glad that you will never have to deal with that ugliness". My words actually taste quite scrumptious! I am pretty sure he will love it. My sense comes from the fact that the other night while he was sleeping we hear him talking in his sleep saying "mama... tractor".

Today I made a DSLR camera strap cover with my quilt blocks that were in the FAIL bag. I squared 'em up and made this little dittie. I just kind of winged it on the strap. Not too shabby, in my opinion.

And here is Rodney at 12 weeks. I can't believe that he is already 12 weeks old. He is so sweet!
