Strawberry Fields Forever

Or so sang the Beatles. Today we went Strawberry picking- early. I was up at 6:00 am, which 6:00 am I have not seen in a LONG time. We were in the fields, picking strawberries by 7:00 am, and a good thing too! It gets hot tamales here! Konrad loved the strawberries. The picking 'em part kind of evaded him, but gets the eating part, that is for sure. He totally looks like a vampire here:

It looks like he just lopped off sombody's head and drank from their jugular. Pretty funny.

Here is Rad and mommie picking berries. Well, me picking them and Rad getting them out of my basket and eating them.

Here is a picture of me pregnant. I don't think I have posted one of those at all... on purpose. You can kinda see my little Ulysses belly. What I like most is the lady's a** in the red shorts in the not-so-background. At least she matches the strawberries, right?


These people were pro at picking berries. I very soon realized that I neglected to bring my knee pads, towel (what for, IDK), and my visor. I did have sun glasses and my shoe choice MAY have been wrong, but whatev. Gladiators can only be worn for a limited time each year so I will take advantage of the time I still have.
Needless to say, besides thanks to Fred, is I have been elbow deep in berries all day. I have made two batches of freezer jam, a strawberry pie, strawberry bread, strawberry yogurt and I still have three bags full of berries in the freezer. I surmise that Konrad will have some diarrhea tomorrow... or right now.
