Happy Spring Break, everybody! I think it's pretty awesome that we are almost 30 and still celebrating Spring Break! And guess what! We have two more to go!!
This year for SB, we went to Fruita, CO. We actually stayed in Grand Junction because the only thing in Fruita is a McDonald's and a Dinosaur Museum. It was pretty fun. The first day, Friday sucked pretty bad for me b/c I threw up in the middle of Walmart. That is never a good way to start the day. I am talkin about being in Walmart, nevermind the throw up.
Saturday we went out with some running/biking friends that we met there and did the trail that will be the 18 Hours of Fruita race. It was pretty fun, considering that I have only ridden my pink road bike in the past 6 months or so. Also, I was about three miles in to the ride when I found out that my shoe wouldn't come out of the pedal. I found that out the hard way. I also realized I probably shouldn't be riding like a crazy woman on my bike, but no worries, parasite #2 was not injured (that we know anyways).
Sunday Brian took me to this trail that he rode while Rad and I were napping the day before. It is called Mary's Loop and it was magnificent! I came up this huge hill and right there- the Colorado River. Unbelievable! The trail followed the river for a few miles. It was amazing. If you are ever up for a mt bike trip, this is the one to take. Forget Moab. Lame. Go to Fruita. Please not that in one of the pics above, Rad fell asleep in his Kelty backpack. So cute:)
