Tour de Cure for Diabetes- Take 2

Yay!!!! We made it!!! Brian finished his Century ride in under 6 hours with only killing one birdie. I did my 50K in 1:49, which was a lot faster than I thought I would be able to do it, as my furthest ride EVER was 30 miles. My bum was a little bit sore, but all in all, not bad!

Our team raised over $4000 for diabetes. There were 1900 riders. I was a Red Rider and all of us Diabetics were matchies.

It was a lot of fun. I especially enjoyed the fact that it was the one day that it was cool to be diabetic!! Not even one person asked me if the thing on my hip (not the baby) was a pager or how many songs it holds. Seriously, I have been asked both questions.

A big thanks to Uncle Julie who was so excellent and helped sooooo much with watching Rad and Buddie. She is awesome! Konrad will miss her a ton. He is already asking where Uncle Julie is at!

The first pic is of Rad doing his goofy face. He has started doing this face and it is the funniest thing I have ever seen. I kinda think he is imitating a face I have been making at him since we brought him home (kinda sounds like a puppy;).

Good night all!

You are amazing! I have really wanted to do some cycling for some time now but that would require the investment of a new bike. Maybe someday... I guess for now I'll stick to running. That's awesome to be able to raise money for a cause that directly affects you.

Emily, this is Heather Gresko Morrison and I have been a peep for a long time but wanted to say congratulations on the race. What an awsome way to be proactive in something in live with everyday. Good job
