So, now that I am not sick anymore (knocking on wood), running again and getting ready to move in 4 weeks, we have been able to talk about baby names. Also, people have been asking what we are going to name the babe. We already have a Konrad and we feel a little bit of pressure to find a name just as cool for parasite #2. I mean, it would be kind of silly to have a Konrad and then a Jonathan or a Joseph (both nice names but normal). So...here it is. If it is a boy, we will be naming him Ulysses Jones Kleinman, Jones after my Dad's middle name and the Jones family on his side of the family. For a girl it will be Pearl Ann Kleinman after my great grandmother Pearl Burris who lived to be 102 years old, rest her soul.
So there you go, you inquisitive readers. There you go.

In Tribute to Dewey Dilbert Brimhall. A Song.

I wrote a song to commemorate the life of a little friend, Dewey Dilbert. This song is to be sung to the tune of "Leggy Blonde" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FCub8r1T5Rs, for those of you who have no idea what I am talking about.
Goodbye, goodbye-ee-eye
Dewey Dee
Everyday I look across my bedroom floor
Your girth down to your legs
And your legs down to the floor.
Dewey Dee
Dewey Dee
goodbye, goodbye.
Now that you are gone I'll always miss your face and your fur
Wish you knew how much I loved your face wish that you were here
Dewey Dee goodbye, goodbye
[Chorus]
[Chorus]
Dewey, Dewey, Dewey , Dewey
Dewey, Dewey, Dewey , Dewey
Dewey, Dewey, Dewey , Dewey
Dewey, Dewey, Dewey , Dewey
Dilbert, Dilbert, Dilbert, Dilbert

*sigh*
I'll never get, I'll never forget you
I'll never get to share another doughnut with you
I'll never forget to let you know how much I think of you
I'll never get to gather up all your poopie from my bedroom floor.
She’ll never get
She’ll never get
She’ll never get
She’ll never get --
To say...
She’ll never get
She’ll never get
She’ll never get
She’ll never get --
To say...
Hoop, Dewey, you had it goin' on
Miss seeing you stand on the front lawn lawn lawn
Get your groove on till the break of dawn
Doesn’t mean I’ll forget you now you’re gone.
Goodbye...
Goodbye...

Family Resemblance

My mother is going through all the Trejo family photos, scanning them and preserving them. She called me to tell me she was sending me an email, so I opened my email and these are the pics that I saw staring back at me.
Relatives and others that knew Grandma Opal when she was younger than 90 have always told me that I resembled her. I have another cousin that I though looked more like her than I do, so I never gave it much thought, or really cared very much.
Well, Grandma Brimhall turned 90 this year and I am glad to know what I will look like when/if I live to be such a grand age! I think she is/was absolutely beautiful and I am glad that I look like her. Of course I think she is beautiful. I would be silly to say that I looked like her then say she was ugly, right?
As for the date for these pics, I may be off, so I apologize if my math is cooky. The two bottom photos were taken in 1933, which would make Grandma Opal 13 years old. She looks older there, so forgive me if my dates are off.
Kind of cool to see yourself in your relatives. Talk about the spirit of Elijah...and genetics!
